This particular class is designed to cultivate learning and help to develop fine-motor skills in your children. We will begin learning our alphabet and knowing our numbers by sight. In addition to the in-class activities, we have scheduled creative play & free playground time on a daily basis.

4's Class

This class is made up of the students who have late fall birthdays. The class is designed to help the students get a jump-start into learning before they enter the Pre-Kindergarten class. These skills include color and shape recognition, number recognition 1-20, alphabet recognition, and developmental and fine-motor skills.

Pre-K Class

This particular class is designed to cultivate learning and develop skills for children who will be entering kindergarten upon completion of this preschool year. We will spend time working on fine-motor skills with specific attention given to letter and number writing as well as helping each child write his/her name; we will dedicate time each school day to touch on mathematics and counting; we will focus on identifying upper and lower case letters along with phonics.

WhistleStop

Serving the parents and children of our community

Whistle Stop was started in 2005 as an outreach to the growing community of Aledo. Our goal is to be of service to families by providing a safe and fun place for your children to learn and prepare them for kindergarten. Certain standards set by the state are expected of each child that enters Kindergarten. If your child goes through our program, by the time they get to the age needed for kindergarten they will have been introduced to the necessary things that the state has suggested. Our teachers are dedicated and experienced. We place our teacher's talents where they will be most effective. You are welcome to come by and visit during the day to observe if you wish. We suggest that you come early in the day as that is when most of the teaching takes place.

The reason for this is that the kids are alert and ready for a new day. We provide a calendar each month of what is to be covered, so come on by At Whistle Stop Preschool we offer daily bible lessons, music time, and creative play. Twice per month Tech-Kidz computer classes are offered for our students ages 3 and up. Here is a brief description of the curriculum in each of our classes

Bubbly Bears-
2 Year Old Class

This particular class is designed to cultivate basic beginning learning skills for children. We will spend time working on fine-motor skills with coloring, painting, and lot of gluing to help strengthen eye/hand coordination.
